Who we are, and what we are for.

LEP Strategy (Legatis Executive Partners Inc.) is a Vancouver Growth Capital and Strategy advisory practice for owner-led businesses across British Columbia - for owners who want the business worth more, on better terms, and a higher valuation when the day comes to sell or hand it on.

Our purpose

Our role: one accountable advisor across the whole business.

You built the business, and you may be stuck "in the business" doing most of it: the selling, the deciding, the banking, the hiring. Every part of it you hand off makes the next step, growth, a loan, a sale or a handover, easier.

Our role is to get you there, and to stay accountable for it. We evaluate the whole business and set a clear Gameplan. We build the sales engine and the team that run without you. We arrange the financing with institutional lenders, in a file they can approve. And when you choose, we lead the sale, the purchase or the handover. Where the strategy calls for a complicated group of professionals to get to the next stage, we bring in vetted, licensed reputable partners all operating on the same plan, so you are advised by one team, with one goal, rather than a queue of specialists who have never met.

The name Legatis is Latin: it means legacy.

We know what a credit analyst reads, what a buyer pays for, and what it takes to run a business that does not need you in every seat.

03Evidence over opinionThe calculators, the diagnostic and the plans on this site are the instruments we use on a mandate, and they are free. Our interventions, HPT360 among them, are built on graded evidence from published research, and recommendations trace to their sources.

04Independent, and paid in the openWe are tied to no single lender, dealer or buyer, and every fee we expect to earn on a file, from any source, is set out in a written Fee Letter before the engagement begins.

05The right licence for every stepRegulated activities are performed only by parties registered or licensed to perform them. We coordinate; we do not improvise.

Spencer Pallone Helm, MBA, is the managing partner of Legatis Executive Partners and leads every mandate personally. His background is in commercial lending, business advisory and operating leadership in owner-led companies: financial systems and funding, business development, team performance and ownership design.

He holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in Team Management and Leadership.
